Badfellaz

Badfellaz is a hip hop group from Soweto, with a diverse musical offering ranging from Hip Hop to RnB and Dance.

The 4-piece consisting of 1Ted DJ, Swissyj, Ozzy, and Dr. Luzz, was conceptualised way back in 2008 when the 4 friends dreamed of starting a band; a dream which was realised later once all four finished their studies.

Badfellaz has performed across Gauteng and has worked with talented producers like Ruff (2 SAMA awards, 4 Metro awards, 1 MAMA), Emtee, Rabs Vhafuwi (known for the hit single "Count Your Blessings), and Frenchy (Import Music Group USA), to mention a few. Badfellaz writes and executive produce all their music.

The group came second on the Jägermeister Back the Artist 2016 Competition, performed at Moshito 2016 Demo Challenge, and was a Finalist at MI-talent Competition (Rand Show2016).  

Badfellaz's latest track ‘trapped in Soweto” was featured on USA based DJ BME Back the to Major Business Mixtape alongside French Montana, Yo Gotti and many more.  With their latest single (Every Hood) doing well on international platforms like Spotify, Deezer and iTunes, there certainly is a demand for more material from Badfellaz, and an EP release, a full album as well as a Music Video for Trapped in Soweto is on the cards.
