Jean-Francois Martinelli

Jean-Francois Martinelli has been entertaining guests at 5-star resort hotels all over South Africa for many years.  With his band Capricorn, he held a residency at the Copacabana Beverly Hills and The Villa at the Sandton Sun Hotels.  The band still continues to entertain corporate and private clients all over SA, with particular demand for weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, birthdays, corporate staff events and awards ceremonies.

Having recently relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town, Jean-Francois performs as a solo entertainer, accompanying himself on guitar with backing tracks.  He is acknowledged as one of the most versatile one-man bands in South Africa today.

He sings in at least a dozen languages, with a large and varied repertoire that includes music from the 50s to the latest hits, Latino and continental favourites, Michael Buble / Sinatra-type Swing, as well as local hits.  He caters for all ages and nationalities and is able to satisfy a wide range of clientele.

One of his greatest attributes is his ability to set the right mood, entertaining dancers, whilst allowing other guests to converse with ease.  As each function is unique, he adapts his performance to whatever theme is desired by the client, and can play subtle background or full-on party music.
