Maureen Malan

Hailing from Cape Town, Maureen offers a unique and sophisticated solo background performance.  Her piano and keyboard style is unique, creative and soothing. 

Maureen’s vocal repertoire consists of easy listening jazz favourites, Norah Jones, Nina Simone, Natalie Cole, to pop standards from the 60’s contemporary well-known hits, Katie Melua, Dido, swing standards, Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra.

She has enjoyed playing regularly at weddings, functions, private and corporate functions around South Africa.

Just a few of the many venues Maureen has performed at include: Cape Convention Centre, The Mount Nelson Hotel, The Table Bay Hotel, The Cape Sun, Arabella Hotels, Twelve Apostles, The Bay, Simons restaurant, Suikerbossie restaurant, festivals, The Barnyard circuit, Golf estates and wine farms in Stellenbosch & Franschhoek.  She has also been the residential pianist at The Lord Charles Hotel since 2004.  In addition, she has sung on Afrikaans compilation albums and backed up some of South Africa’s most famous vocalists.
