Ooh La La!

Ooh La La! is a French ensemble consisting of seasoned Cape Town based musicians Matthew Reid (clarinet), Elinor Spiers (violin), Andre van Vuuren (Accordion) and Dave Ridgway (double bass).  Playing a range of romantic continental melodies whilst effortlessly strolling amongst the guests, Ooh La La! transports the listener to the banks of the Seine or the steps of Montmatre with their romantic and delightful French café sound.

The group’s repertoire consists of some Edith Piav hits, including Sous le Ciel de Paris, La Goulante de Pauvre Jean, La Vie en Rose, Milord, Padam, L'Accordioniste, Au Revoir and Hymne a L'Amour, as well as continental favourites such as Pigalle (Georges Ulmer), C'est si Bon (Henri Betti). Dominos (The Big Pink), Aime Moi (Charles Aznavour), Oh Marie (Trad.) and C'est Magnifique (Cole Porter).
