The Grey

The Grey is a dramatic violin duo based in Cape Town.

Best friends, Ellani and Donné came up with the idea December 2015, on an aeroplane after a music trip in Namibia. They decided then and there that's what they will be. Two blonde Classically trained virtuosos on a mission to make listeners go ‘WOW’ during performances. Between the two of them they have won competitions nationwide, played together in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Namibia. For these two professionals it's all about mixing the old with the new and letting all ages have a blast while listening.

The Grey plays any music from Classical, Pop, Rock, Ballads, Film and many more. They've always believed that this is what they're supposed to do. They want to entertain and touch souls of audiences. After only a few months of playing together as a dramatic duo, they were featured on local television programs, have they shared stages with well-known artists such as Rouchelle Liedemann, Ike Moriz, Riaan Hunter, Katlego Maboe, Titilayo Adedokun, Beverly Scott Brown, Kim Kallie Banner, Corlea and many more.

They were invited to perform as solo artists with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra at numerous occasions including Divas Unite 2016, Nederburg Picnic Pops 2016 and Valentines Under The Stars 2017.
