• Virgil spent six months at The Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi, performing at the popular club AMPM
• Performed for three months in Dubai at the Le Meridian Hotel at Satchmos
• He played on the folk and club circuits in and around England and Wales from 1979-1982. Here he performed both as a soloist, as well as with various bands - notably the Country rock outfit  Quarter Moon, and Welsh Rock band Xcalibre
