Biography

Clement Mulenga, known by his stage name “Moolanair” is a 22 year old artist, song writer, producer and sound engineer based in the east side of Johannesburg. He was born on the 21st of February 1996 in Germiston, East Rand of Johannesburg. His love for music began at the age of 12 at a primary school talent show, when he moved the crowed at a young age. His desire and aspiration for music grew. Moolanair then went on to start recording his own music from his bedroom where he released 5 mixtapes.

His brother and now manger Andrew Mulenga discovered the talent his young brother had and started a recording company where Moolanair went on to become the first artist of (EYES) the label they both own.

In 2016 Moolanair shot his first music video “Serious “which was a single from his mixtape the “619” and in April 2017 Moolanair shot his second music video “Please me” from his second mixtape “Glorious occasion” which was a huge success. His single MJ Moves played in the UK and on more than 20 radio stations country wide and later that year he shot another music video ‘ONE AT A TIME’ as his first single from the album he is currently working on. One At A Time was also launched on Metro FM South Africa's biggest radio station where he was hosted by South Africa's kwaito legend Oskido, and an interview with (VOS) Voice Of The Streets in April. He always appeared on the SABC 1 show called Daily Theta. Moolanair was also featured to perform at “The Fast Track” which also featured the likes of J Molly, Frank Casino and Euphonik and he also featured Mabala Noises Golden Black on a track called Jamaican Plug.

Moolanair is an exciting young South African artist who can boast #1 SoundCloud artist in 2017. Currently running a campaign at schools called #SayNoToDrugs around Gauteng. He is a diverse artist with a fresh sound and a storyteller at that. His music is groovy and melodic. He has been on Metro FM (more than 32 radio stations), Mushroom production (interview) and interviewed on Shiz Live on Etv. And has been featured on Soweto TV.

In the year 2017 Moolanair decided to expand his fan base by playing at clubs, festivals and many other places to spread his music. Moolanair does a variety of genres which include pop, rap and pop soul. He gets inspiration from every corner of his life, which makes his music relatable by the people who hear it. Moolanair tries to show that there is more talent in the east side than people think, he worked with a variety of them such as Fordy The Savage (Dance), Skeetso (Private Location) and Trilavelle C E (New York) just to name a few.

Moolanair is planning a tour of Zambia at the end of the year. Currently, Moolanair is busy with a high school campaign/tour called #SayNoToDrugs. Making the youth aware of the dangers of drug abuse.

The future for Moolanair seems quite promising and successful. We know his music will impact those who listen to it and even inspire them to follow their own dreams and ambitions of reaching success in their own lives.
