The Rocketeers

With their own special acoustic style, The Rocketeers fuse the class and sophistication of a jazz band with the crossover appeal of a cover band to create a unique entertainment experience.  Formed in 2010, this unique and refreshing duo's name has become synonymous with exellence in easy listening and background acoustic music.

The unusual but highly effective marriage of acoustic guitar, upright double bass, silky smooth vocals and "made on the fly" percussion results in a signature Rocketeers sound which is classy, relaxing and unobtrusive, yet still lively and upbeat with a general “foot tapping” vibe.  Add to this the visual appeal of this unique duo, and it's no surprise that the act is in great demand with event organisers looking for something that is different, yet offers top musical quality.

THE REPERTOIRE 

The Rocketeers' repertoire is built around the concept that a great song can be stripped down to its basic elements and still sound fantastic. The duo breathes new life into classic hits from the various genres of the 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s as well as fresh acoustic interpretations of some of today’s most popular songs. 

A few favourite jazz tunes like Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon”, Gershwin’s “Summertime” and Nina Simone’s “My Baby Just Cares for Me” are also thrown into the mix to add that extra touch of class.
