Sue Green is an established guitarist offering pleasant and laid back instrumental background music. Her varied repertoire ranges from Classical to Popular hits from the fifties, sixties and seventies, as well as some Blues and Flamenco.
Sue has been playing classical guitar since the age of 15 and studied with Colin Shapiro, Kim Harris, Dave Hewitt, Charl Lamprecht, Jonathan Crossley, Tony Russel (jazz) and James smyth (Flute for 7 years). She has also participated in master classes with Fritz Buss, Stefan Rak, Aldo Lagrutta and Abri Jordaan.
Sue performs on handmade guitars by Marc Maingard and Mervyn Davis.
Recordings include Sounds Classical 1998. Ride the Classics 2002, Sounds Romantic 2002, Classics My Way 2003, Classical Gas 2005. Something Classical 2010.
Noteworthy Performances
- Various venues, including Botanical Gardens, Shopping centres and flea markets and nursery tea gardens.
- Various charity functions for Cotlands, Rotary, SPCA, Guide Dogs and Gardens of the Golden City – including Brenthurst (The Oppenheimer Estate), The Hotel School.
- Regular performer at TJ”s Acoustic Music Club at Marks Park.
- Year-end functions for the Dental School and the Car of the Year Show for 2016 and 2017.
